Tips To Educate Your Child About Incest
•June 22, 2009 • Leave a CommentHere are some tips to educate your child about incest. There is no need to feel embarrassed because their lack of education which results in them being an incest victim could be even more challenging to handle later on.
1. From day one, build an open relationship with the child, so that he/she will not be afraid to come to you about anything, even after been sworn into secrecy.
2. Explain to the child ‘good touch’ and ‘bad touch’ – that no one should touch him/her on parts of the body covered by a bathing suit, nor should they touch anyone else in those areas.
3. Explain to the child that incest is sexual activity, ranging from fondling to intercourse, between family members who aren’t married to one another and that this act is a crime for which the perpetrator can be charged.
4. Give your child alternatives. Point them towards persons like their teacher, guidance counsellor, Sunday school teacher, etc that they can go to if they are afraid to come to you.
5. Tell them that the penis and vagina are not tools that they should play ‘dolly house’ with.
6. Explain that should they wander off while in a public place, not to walk around looking for you. Instead, find a security officer and tell that person that they have lost their family and need help in finding them.
7. Encourage them not to get into a car or go anywhere with anyone unless you told them that it is okay to do so.
8. Tell them that if someone follows them on foot or in a car, to stay away from that person and that they don’t need to go near the car to talk to the people inside.
9. Tell then that grown-ups and others who need help should not be asking children for help, they should be asking older people.
10. Tell them to get your permission before they leave the yard or play area, or to go into someone’s home.
11. Tell then never to hitch-hike or try to get a ride home with anyone. Give them the names of a few trusted friends and relatives that you know it is OK for them to ride with.
Incest Prevention Through Education
•June 3, 2009 • Leave a CommentIt is estimated that at least two out of every 10 girls, and one out of every 10 boys are sexually abused by the end of their 13th year.
So while many parents will pretend it cannot happen to their child, the fact is that children get molested in Jamaica everyday and some will speak out while others may be threatened into silence.
Some situations are so out of control that there are mothers who will know their child is being molested but become too afraid or ashamed to speak out leaving the child to suffer in silence.
However, prevention is much better than cure.
So instead of waiting to see signs that the child is a victim of incest or molestation, approach the subject as soon as the child can understand.
Longing for a Mother’s Love
•May 18, 2009 • Leave a CommentMother-daughter sexual abuse wounds survivors’ hearts and souls. Their mothers were often their only care-givers and the only source of much-needed care.
When this care is mixed with sexual abuse, the effects are devastating. This mixture of nurturance (if there was any) and sexual abuse may have been all the parenting a survivor received.
Often the father was absent or simply did not take an active role in parenting. This mixture of caring and sexual abuse leaves survivors with an unpleasant, and often sickening or repulsive feeling.
On the one hand, the survivor desperately needed to be loved, held, kissed, and nurtured, but when that nurturance comes with such a high price, it is devastating to the child’s psyche. Even nurturance that is offered separate from the sexual abuse becomes hard to trust or to take in freely and openly.
This leaves many survivors feeling a desperate need for love, and at the same time, highly conflicted about that need, and wary of those, particularly women who offer support.
The grief connected to not receiving safe love from a mother or primary caregiver is profound.
Anne Boleyn’s Incest in Henry VIII documents
•April 9, 2009 • Leave a Comment
An online exhibition showcasing parchments from Henry’s reign, including graphic claims of incest, which are held by National Archives to mark the 500th anniversary of his accession in 1509.
A section on his marital affairs includes a rare glimpse of the official record of the trial of Anne Boleyn, Henry’s second wife, and her brother George Boleyn, who were accused of high treason and incest.
Anne’s relationship with Henry set the course of British history, triggering England’s split with Rome amid his divorce from his first wife Catherine of Aragon.
Among more arresting claims is the allegation that Anne had allegedly “tempted her brother with her tongue in the said George’s mouth and the said George’s tongue in hers”.
The indictment alleges that she lured him with presents and jewels before they went on to sleep together “contrary to all human laws”.

While historians have dismissed the allegations as trumped up charges, to free Henry from his controversial marriage to Anne, but the details are still kinky enough to raise a few brows on the scandalous lives of the royal family.
Indian Businessman Held For Incest, Rape
•March 21, 2009 • 1 Comment
An Indian businessman has been arrested for allegedly raping his daughter for more than eight years, apparently on the advice of a Hindu mystic who said it would make him wealthy, police said.
Authorities also arrested the man’s wife, suspected of being an accomplice, and the mystic — a tantrik, or practitioner of the ancient Indian art of the occult — for allegedly raping the man’s other minor daughter, police said Thursday.
Police said the father, a 49-year-old car parts salesman from Mumbai’s outskirts, began raping his oldest daughter in 2000, when she was 14, after he ran into financial troubles.
“The businessman approached a friend who claimed to possess tantrik powers, and the latter advised him to have sex with his daughter to prosper in life,” police officer Mukund Mahajan told the CNN-IBN news channel.
Police said that in recent months, the tantrik apparently began having sex with the businessman’s 15-year-old daughter, also for occult reasons.
The case became public after the younger daughter revealed the abuse to her grandmother and uncle, who filed a complaint Wednesday, police officer Prakash Rane told The Associated Press.
The businessman and his 49-year-old wife were arrested Wednesday while the tantrik, 54-year-old Hansmukh Bhai Rathode, was arrested Thursday, Rane said. Television footage showed dozens of angry people outside the police station trying to attack Rathode as he was brought in.
The parents have not been identified to protect the identities of their children.
The father and Rathode have been charged with raping minors, punishable by life in prison.

Another perverse case of incest, rape… this time from India. An occult convinced a father to have sex so that he can prosper in life. How absurd!

Man Accused Of Incest Breaks Silence
•February 20, 2009 • Leave a CommentAlton Smith broke his silence this week.
Flagler County Sheriff’s deputies started investigating Smith in December 2008.
Police say he pimped out his 25 year old daughter Kristilynn to men they met on the internet. That is, until an undercover deputy stepped in. Police arrested them both–and searched the home.
Detectives discovered nude pictures and videos of Kristilynn Smith with other men, with her dad and with her stepmom. Investigators say they even have a video of Smith having sex with his daughter Kristilynn.
Among other things, Smith said they got the wrong guy.

Utah Senate Clears Incest Bill
•February 19, 2009 • Leave a CommentUtah’s incest law applies only to sexual intercourse which created loopholes as shown in a previous incest investigation in Iron County. It was dropped after the family claimed a child born in an incestuous relationship was conceived via artificial insemination.

Lawmakers are now working hard to change the incest laws. The Senate Judiciary Committee approved a bill that would allow prosecutors to use genetic evidence to build cases where claims are made that no sexual intercourse took place.
SB11, sponsored by Sen. Dennis Stowell, R-Parowan, also extends the reporting period for incest from four to seven years. Prosecutors are allowed to use DNA evidence in incest cases after a girl is impregnated without having sex with a man.
Elend LeBaron, whose father is a member of the polygamous LeBaron clan asked Stowell to carry the legislation after learning last year there was a high probability that two sisters had conceived children with his father and another brother.
Elend LeBaron said his sisters were adults when they conceived children but were indoctrinated from a young age to consider their father a prophet of God.
“Because of the way the laws are written, there is no protection for these young girls, nothing for law enforcement to protect them from being pushed into incest,” he said.
On the other hand, Laura Fuller, a member of the polygamous Kingston family which was investigated by Utah Attorney General’s Office for incestuous uncle-niece unions, said the proposed law might fail a constitutional challenge because its definition of incest goes beyond first-degree relatives and targets religious beliefs.
